Job Description

During your internship you will be involved or oversee duties usually igned to a Project Manager. You will ist the Project Manager in various tasks pertaining to the job site including planning organizing and supporting project works; from negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to providing support with work ods. You will also develop and suggest improvements to design standards advise and solve complex design and engineering issues on site.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor works daily through the technical and administrative tasks igned to you.
  • Plan and oversee works coordination with foremen surveyors superintendents engineers project managers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and follow up on technical issues in plans and specifications.
  • Prepare monitor yse and manage subcontractor files.
  • Contribute to contract negotiations when necessary.
  • Contribute to project scheduling.
  • Obtain permits and authorizations required to carry out work.
  • Plan and check material orders as needed.
  • Followup on "Conflict detection" when the project is executed in BIM.
  • ist review and communicate technical questions and change requests to the customer representative and followup when required.
  • Plan supervise and contribute to the development of appropriate construction ods and processes per contractual requirements while respecting current health and safety requirements.
  • Participate in site meetings with various project stakeholders.
  • Follow up and manage deficiencies at the end of the project.
  • Contribute to traffic management when required.


Requirements

Profil

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering in progress.
  • Relevant experience in engineering or construction is an important et.
  • A drivers license and/or ability to travel may be required in some cases.
  • Agrees to work 8 months on site (Cambell River)
