The successful candidate will manage a team of engineers and technicians oversee project ensure technical excellence and contribute to the company s growth by developing client relationships and new business opportunities. Requirements
- Lead and manage the Geotechnical Engineering Department ensuring effective team coordination development and performance.
- Oversee the planning design and of geotechnical engineering projects ensuring quality timeliness and costefficiency.
- Provide expert technical guidance on geotechnical issues including soil and rock mechanics foundation design slope ility and ground improvement techniques.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients maintaining and enhancing client relationships and identifying business development opportunities.
- Ensure all geotechnical designs and reports meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify potential markets and opportunities for growth and prepare proposals and bids for new projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring that health safety and environmental standards are upheld.
- Manage department budgets resources and schedules to meet project and company objectives.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers fostering a collaborative and highperforming team environment.
Qualifications & Ss
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with at least 35 years in a consulting company.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles with handson experience in foundation design slope ility site investigation and ground improvement.
- Proven ability to manage large complex projects including budgeting scheduling and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams with a focus on collaboration mentorship and professional development.
- Strong business development ss with experience in client relationship management and proposal preparation.
