Company Overview
A leading provider of geospatial data solutions this company is pioneering advancements with its own synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. Their team is on a mission to create a more progressive world using realtime datadriven ytics to support governments and commercial entities. Their goal is to elish a constellation of 30 SAR satellites by 2026 to enable nearinstant global data collection and disaster response.
Your Role
As a Quality urance Engineer youll be pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of satelliteproduced imagery and ociated software. With a growing fleet of satellites your focus will be on testing software releases validating image quality and improving processing procedures. Youll collaborate crossfunctionally to help enhance overall performance and align with product standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up a QA team.
- Elish standards and best practices for developers.
- Test new software versions and evaluate the quality of SAR images and processing pipelines.
- Review and refine procedures to elevate image and pipeline quality.
- Communicate quality essments to stakeholders and engineers.
- Monitor ongoing performance of produced images and SAR processing pipelines.

- Contribute to scaling a cuttingedge satellite system from a handful of satellites to dozens in space.

Hours: Flexible with core hours from 11:00 to 15:00
Time Off: 2 days off per week (weekends) and Japanese public holidays. Paid leave starts at 10 days in the first year increasing annually.
Salary Review: Semiannual evaluation based on experience and performance

Essentials for Applying
Heres what theyre ideally looking for!
- Strong experience in software/product quality urance and testing (8 years)
- Strong proficiency in both Linux and Python
- Experience in manual testing and endtoend test automation
- Leadership or management experience
Bonus Competencies
Here are the ss and experiences that would be great to have!
- Experience in setting up teams
- Background in signal processing or image processing
- Educational qualifications in physics electrical/information or aerospace engineering
- Familiarity with remote sensing data
- Software development experience particularly in Python
- Software testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB)
- Japanese proficiency
