The main business activities include the operation of a satellite constellation through the development manufacturing and launch of small SAR satellites and related systems. This encompasses the sale of acquired data and the development and sale of data analysis solutions.

  This department is responsible for satellite operations image data production and distribution of our proprietary small SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite the S series. This unit develops and operates the control and analysis systems for satellite operations and the image processing system for generating SAR products.

  < Responsibilities >

  The main task of this unit is to develop and operate the satellite ground system that operates the companys SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites the S series. The satellite ground system is divided into control planning analysis and image data processing and you will be responsible for the development of the control and analysis system (mission control) which monitors and analyzes the satellite status and sends control commands to the satellite.

  In recent years space development has shifted from state initiative to an era in which the private sector plays a leading role. Expectations for the private sector in space development have been increasing as evidenced by the Japanese governments clear announcement of the establishment of a 10year 1 trillion yen space strategy fund. We are aiming to build a constellation of 30 satellites by the latter half of 2020 and you will be able to work as a member of the team that leads the space business in Japan.

  There are only a few companies that develop and operate satellites and ground systems and I believe it will be a valuable experience to work at the forefront of the space business which will be the focus of much attention in the future. Among them the mission control system is an important system that influences our companys business and I believe that this will be a work project that cannot be experienced by any other company. In addition since we will be developing our own satellite and ground systems rather than the traditional stateled vendorordered development we will be able to design develop and operate the systems ourselves and experience the growth process of the systems up close in a short period of time. In addition by placing yourself in an environment where multinational personnel are working you will be able to improve your skills for living in a global society in the future.

  1. commute to our Tokyo Head Office at least 4 days a week
  2. programming experience in C C C# python etc. (more than 3 years)
  3. experience in system development (requirement definition design manufacturing testing operation and maintenance) (more than 5 years)
  4. flexible to work weekends and evenings if necessary for system failures etc.(about 12 times a month shifts)
  5. comfortable with reading writing and oral communication in English
  6. passionate about space development

Preferred Requirements

  1. experience in system development related to defense aerospace and aviation
  2. experience in system development related to government and municipal offices
  3. experience in project management
  4. experience in satellite control or analysis system development

Location: Kiyosumi Shirakawa Tokyo

Annual Salary:JPY

• Based on experience ability and previous work experience
• Personnel evaluation system every 6 months

Hours: Flextime system

• Core time from 11:00 15:00
• 2 days off a week (weekends) including Japanese public holidays
• 10 days of paid time leave granted first year with an increment of 1 day every following year (ex. 11 days in the second year) up to a maximum in accordance with Japans labor laws.

Probation: 3 months
