Job Description

FILINVEST COMPANY: CRIMSON RESORT AND SPA BORACAY


Position Summary:

In accordance with the policies procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay and to support the General Manager in operating and managing the hotel in fulfilling obligations under its management terms and agreement to the Owner. To execute the hotel operation in accordance with property strategies policies systems and procedures. Responsible for the
planning and orchestrating of all major programs to achieve anticipated results for the hotel by means of coordination delegation and supervision of all available resources. To advise and inform on matters relating to the hotel. To assist the General Manager in liaising with the Hotel Owner on relevant matters relating to the hotel. Ensure the smooth overall hotel operations the general
security and safety of the hotel its guests and all team members.

Scope and Responsibilities:


Profitability

  • Review budgets for F&B and Other operating Departments.
  • Reviews strategic plans with appropriate Division / Department Heads and Financial Controller.
  • Attends Operations Review Meetings.
  • Prepares monthly forecasts for balance of year including Marketing plan Profit and Loss cash flow.
Forecasting
  • Reviews departmental forecasts and validates assumptions.
  • Reviews/approves flash report and writes the analysis for submission.
  • Reviews cash float forecast.

Profit Improvement

  • Study the market demand and put into recommendation in order to increase
    profitability.
  • Reviews / analyses hotel results relative to other hotels performance where
    appropriate to identify anomalies.
Productivity
  • Review monthly productivity results with management.
  • Sets targets for improvement.
  • Initiates analysis of productivity to maximize efficiency.
  • Recognizes / rewards material gains
Control
  • Develops communicates implements empowerment and delegation of authority to ensure decision making at lowest appropriate level with adequate controls.
  • Reviews / approves Financial Controllers Monthly Checklist.
  • Reviews internal audit report and approves reply.
  • Approves all Division Heads expense accounts and randomly audits others.
  • Reviews / approves Chief Engineers Monthly Checklist
Organizational Development
  • Instills Company Mission and Vision throughout the organization.
  • Communicates the One Filinvest Core Values throughout the organization explains the values they represent as guides for desirable behavior
  • Encourages all employees to commit to the values keeps them in the forefront of their daily activities and role models them.
  • Ensures all designated positions commit annually to the code of conduct.
  • Manages the functions of all hotel personnel through supervision of second in command directly or indirectly of hotel department heads. Recognizes and awards individuals / teams who contribute to the success of the hotel through their commitment to teamwork.
  • Creates an environment where teamwork is encouraged and recognized as the desirable style for achieving superior performance
  • Shares successful ideas with other Crimson brands
  • Introduces good ideas taken from other hotels or organization.
  • Institutes mechanism for recognizing / rewarding creativity and initiative.
  • Monitors present and future trends practices and systems in the hotel industry and determines and ensures of competitive programs
Guest Satisfaction
  • Ensures highest level of guest satisfaction by providing within hotel standards quality guest services and amenities.
  • Ensures timely response to guest questionnaires / letters.
  • Uses select social events to build relationships e.g. hosting cocktails.
  • Meets / greets VIPs and conference organizers
  • Ensures that critiques are numerically tracked to identify trends formulate action(s) and monitor departmental performance.
  • Analyses Performance Monitor results to formulate action for improvement.
  • Shares satisfaction performance data with employees

Qualifications

  • 10 years experience in a firstclass hotel/resort with a minimum of years management level role
  • Experience in Food and Beverage Rooms and backof thehouse operations
  • With experience as Executive Assistant Manager or Resident Manager
  • College degree in Hospitality Management
  • Graduate degree in Business Management/Hospitality Management is an advantage
