Work on all types of litigation matters including general business and commercial litigation insurance defense medical malpractice probate litigation domestic relations construction litigation and employment work; provide analysis; conduct research; draft memoranda and pleadings; interact with clients and opposing counsel; work directly with other attorneys within the firm.

Working from our historic headquarters building in Manchester New Hampshire and our satellite offices in Concord and Portsmouth New Hampshire we serve individuals businesses and nonprofits in the areas of business & commercial litigation construction litigation criminal law employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) divorce & domestic relations employment consulting and litigation healthcare insurance defense intellectual property litigation medical & professional malpractice personal injury probate litigation real estate ski defense litigation tax utilities bankruptcy and collections work estate planning and all aspects of corporate law including finance and business formation and mergers and acquisitions.

Our work over the years has involved a number of superlatives: some of the largest business transactions in the state the largest bankruptcy cases some of the largest damage awards and successful defenses against some of the largest claims. The successful candidate will work on all types of litigation matters including general business and commercial litigation insurance defense medical malpractice probate litigation domestic relations construction litigation and employment work; provide analysis; conduct research; draft memoranda and pleadings; interact with clients and opposing counsel; work directly with other attorneys within the firm.

  • Research and analyze the law on complex issues and write memoranda for submission to a supervising lawyer
  • Synthesize legal research and analysis and draft pleadings
  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests
  • Take and defend depositions appear at mediation and appear in court for motions hearings and trial
Requirements

Formal Education

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited educational establishment
  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • NH Bar License

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in a law firm as a licensed attorney
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong research skills
