Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain SQL and MySQL databases
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Perform database tuning and query optimization
- Implement data models and database designs
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications
- Monitor database performance and recommend improvements
- Manage database backups and recovery processes
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis
- Conduct database capacity planning
- Implement and maintain database security measures
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams
- Document database processes and procedures
- Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in database technologies
- Perform database migrations and upgrades
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Proven work experience as a SQL/MySQL Developer or similar role
- Strong understanding of database management systems
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Experience with database design and data modeling
- Knowledge of database security and backup procedures
- Familiarity with performance tuning and query optimization
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of version control systems
- Experience with ETL processes and tools
- Basic understanding of serverside languages and web development
- Certifications in SQL/MySQL are a plus
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
