Overview:
The HR Intern (Talent Acquisition & Recruitment) plays a crucial role in supporting the recruitment and talent acquisition efforts of the organization. This role contributes to the overall success of the HR department by assisting in identifying and hiring top talent for various positions within the company. The intern will gain valuable handson experience in recruitment strategies candidate sourcing and selection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of job descriptions and job specifications
- Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
- Screen resumes and application forms
- Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
- Coordinate interviews and followup with candidates
- Assist in organizing and attending career fairs and other recruiting events
- Collaborate with the HR team to implement effective recruiting strategies
- Support the maintenance of candidate databases and recruitment tracking systems
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in HR specifically in talent acquisition and recruitment
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other HR software is advantageous
