Brake Shear Operator
Pay:$18/HR. (Depending on experience)
Hours:Monday Friday Day Shift
Job type:Temp to Hire
Location:Catoosa Oklahoma
Join our team as a Machine Operator setting up and operating power brakes to bend notch and form metal plates and sheets to blueprint specifications.
What youll be doing:
- Set up and operate power brake machines to bend notch punch and form metal plates or sheets according to blueprints or sketches.
- Select position and align dies in the machine and adjust pressure and clearance settings.
- Perform layout work from blueprints or templates manually positioning workpieces or using cranes for alignment.
- Operate the machine to bend or cut metal set stops for successive operations and verify workpiece dimensions.
- Adjust machine settings including rake and blade pressure and position stops and guides for accurate cuts.
MustHave Qualifications:
- Proven ability to set up and operate power brakes and other metalworking machinery.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints or sketches for layout and alignment.
- Strong mechanical skills with attention to detail in metal forming and cutting operations.
- Ability to work with precision ensuring accurate dimensions and quality results.
