Job Description

Title: Application Program Manager

Description:

An SAP Application Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation maintenance and optimization of SAP applications within an organization. They work closely with business users technical teams and SAP consultants to ensure that SAP systems align with business needs and deliver value.

Key Responsibilities


SAP Application Strategy:


Develop and implement SAP application strategies that support organizational goals and objectives.

Evaluate and select appropriate SAP modules and solutions.

Assess the impact of SAP applications on business processes and systems.


SAP Implementation Projects:


Manage SAP implementation projects including planning and golive.

Coordinate with business users technical teams and SAP consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage project scope timeline budget and resources.


SAP Application Maintenance:


Oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of SAP applications.

Manage system upgrades patches and hotfixes.

Monitor system performance and address issues promptly.


SAP Application Optimization:

Identify opportunities to optimize SAP applications to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance user experience.

Implement process improvements and best practices.

Coordinate with business users to gather requirements and feedback.


SAP Integration:


Manage the integration of SAP applications with other systems and applications.

Ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.


SAP Governance:

Establish and enforce SAP governance policies and procedures.

Manage access controls and security measures.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications

B.E / B.Tech Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field.

Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in application management/program management

Strong understanding of SAP ERP and other SAP applications.

Experience in SAP implementation and maintenance projects.

Knowledge of SAP best practices and methodologies.

Excellent project management skills including experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead and motivate teams.

Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.


Desired Skills and Qualifications

SAP certification (e.g. SAP Certified Application Associate SAP Certified Application Developer).

Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other cloudbased SAP solutions.

Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g. APIs middleware).

Experience in a specific industry or domain.
