Job Summary:
As a key member of the Finance team at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Nigeria the Financial Controller (FC) will oversee the timely production of financial reports and ensure compliance with regulations such as IFRS. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills to present financial data and recommendations to management and stakeholders. The FC will lead a team of accountants to ensure accurate financial data capture and drive strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial data capture in ERP systems.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports (P&L BS CF) in IFRS format.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and manage statutory audits.
- Oversee budgetary and cost control systems including variance analysis.
- Lead modernization efforts within the finance function.
- Evaluate strategic financial objectives and recommend enhancements for performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Provide analysis of financial trends and maintain effective internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and tax consultants.
Requirements
- Master s Degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
- MBA in Finance and CPA or CMA designations preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in financial reporting preferably in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP financial modules (Oracle Fusion preferred).
- Experience with publicly listed firms is a plus.
