Job Description

Company Overview:
A global leader in the CNC turning and milling machine industry specializing in providing solutions for the aerospace automotive defense energy medical electronics agriculture and semiconductor sectors. Join our team as we expand our Technical Service Center in Schaumburg IL and be part of achieving our growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct presale activities including customer visits opportunity evaluations machine assessments and turnkey proposals.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by creating machine cutting programs selecting tooling and fixtures and meeting schedule cycle time and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical support to distributors and key customers including programming process advice and training.
  • Design and execute cutting demos focusing on new technologies and products.
  • Develop and deliver content for scheduled programming classes to both internal and external customers.
  • Support the sales cycle by performing customer visits product demonstrations and time studies.
  • Communicate project updates with internal sales teams and customers.
  • Provide training and coaching on advanced manufacturing concepts and the full product line.
  • Support technical tasks related to special events open houses and trade shows as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Fanuc controls.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including tool & die lowvolume job shops or highvolume production.
  • 5 years of experience in G&M code programming for multitask turning centers 5axis machining and CNC process engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Gantt charts action plans) and lean manufacturing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a skilled trade related to machine tool technology or equivalent experience (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • 5 years of experience with Mastercam Esprit or Hyper Mill.
  • 5 years of experience in manual Gcode programming and 5axis programming.
  • Experience with Doosan product lines such as SMX and DVF.
