Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including managing financial reporting budgeting and compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process including the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and analyze budget variances.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards company policies and relevant regulations. Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Reconciliation: Perform and review regular reconciliations of bank accounts balance sheet accounts and other financial data.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
  • Support: Provide financial analysis and support to other departments and senior management as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 57 years of accounting experience with at least 34 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in the Agriculture Manufacture or Construction industry.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks SAP Oracle or etc.).
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook).
