Overview:
The Windows AD Admin plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the Windows Active Directory environment for the organization. They are responsible for ensuring the stability security and efficient operation of the Active Directory infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Windows Active Directory infrastructure and services.
- Monitor and maintain directory services including Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and security permissions.
- Configure install and maintain domain controllers and related server roles.
- Perform regular system updates and security patches to ensure the stability and security of the Active Directory environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory including authentication problems and replication issues.
- Manage and support domain services including DNS and DHCP.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements related to Active Directory.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other systems and applications.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures and configurations for Active Directory.
- Participate in system design capacity planning and disaster recovery planning for Active Directory.
- Provide technical support and guidance to endusers and other IT staff related to Active Directory.
- Participate in oncall support and periodic maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring and tuning of Active Directory services.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the Active Directory environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Professional certification in Microsoft technologies such as MCSE: Core Infrastructure.
- 3 years of experience in Windows Active Directory administration and management.
- Demonstrated expertise in administering and troubleshooting Active Directory services.
- Should have hands on experience on Windows Server 2008 R2 2012 R2 IIS Administration Experience Administering Windows Active Directory OU policies and configuration To include knowledge of AD trust forestchild domain architecture AD Sites and Services internal and external DNS LDAP DHCP GPO Security Group Membership AD Computer Domain Join AD permissions and delegation. Proficiency with Microsoft PowerShell scripting Experience patching servers and remediation vulnerabilities. Experience working with customers to meet their requests or resolve their problems. Experience with data center maintenance including hardware installation and documentation.
