Job Description
Job Title: Site Manager Flooring Installations
Salary Range: R15000 R25000 per month
Location: Offsite but based in Paarden Eiland Cape Town.
Working Hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (with flexibility for extended hours based on project requirements)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee flooring installation projects across various locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing 3 Site Managers and ensuring the successful delivery of flooring installations. The role involves managing installation teams (3 to 4 members per team) coordinating with clients and ensuring that the project is completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee and manage 3 Site Managers who supervise installation teams of 34 workers per site. Provide leadership guidance and support to ensure smooth operations on the ground.
- Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients ensuring clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Address any client concerns or issues promptly.
- Project Planning & : Plan schedule and coordinate all flooring installation activities onsite ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor the progress of installation work to ensure it adheres to the agreed specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections and resolve any issues related to installation quality.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations onsite. Identify potential risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- ProblemSolving: Quickly address any onsite issues or conflicts that arise during installations ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
- Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources efficiently including materials tools and manpower to meet project deadlines.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress challenges and resolutions.
- Budget Control: Ensure that installations are completed within the allocated budget making costeffective decisions without compromising on quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in site management specifically within flooring installations or a related construction/installation industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide multiple teams.
- Excellent clientfacing and communication skills with a customercentric approach.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Problemsolving abilities and a proactive attitude in addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction/installation sites.
- Flexibility in working hours as projects may require late hours or extended days onsite.
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in construction management site supervision or related fields (advantageous but not essential).
- Proficiency in project management software/tools.
