Legal Manager

• Prepare and negotiate agreements covering area such as corporate matters joint ventures tenancy and sales or purchase of land and properties.
  
• Providing legal advice and support for the Groups business and operations.
  
• Managing the sale and purchase agreements and related documents (Sale Documents) for property development projects while coordinating with the sales and marketing department personnel and external/panel solicitors (as needed) to ensure timely completion and finalisation of the Sale Documents.
  
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and other thirdparty advisors to manage the Groups litigation and other legal matters.
  
• Provide guidance on general business matters and oversee legal issues across all areas of the Group including but not limited to business operations and corporate affairs.
  
• Handle the Group s litigation matters including representing the Group before courts tribunals or other judicial administrative or public authorities as well as in dealings with any other legal or physical entities.
  
• Help raise awareness within business units about the legal risks faced by the Group and emphasize the importance of taking proactive steps to mitigate potential exposure.
  
• Perform legal research to stay updated on relevant changes in laws and advise management on necessary adjustments and their impact on business operations.
  
• Coordinate with relevant government offices and other competent authorities as needed.
  
• Ensure that business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations and provide advice to senior management on these matters.
  
• Ensure that collaborative objectives are met with various internal stakeholders regarding internal audit internal control risk management process improvement compliance and efficiency.
  
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by Management as needed.
  

Requirements

• A Degree in Law with at least 10 years of postqualification experience preferably within a property development company.
  
• Extensive knowledge of property development industry including practices and regulations with experience in commercial law (particularly related to property and business). Additionally a strong understanding of corporate law litigation and listing requirements.
  
• Address all legal issues providing legal advice and support to the Group its departments and subsidiary companies on all legal matters.
  
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on current laws.
  
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
  
• Capable of working independently and under pressure.
