JOB PURPOSE/OVERVIEW/SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Merchandise Manager; you will be responsible for overseeing the selection procurement and management of merchandise for corporate gifting purposes. You will work closely with suppliers vendors and internal teams to ensure the seamless of gifting programs and initiatives.
KEY DELIVERABLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and identify suitable merchandise options aligned with client preferences and budgetary constraints.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client requirements and preferences.
Maintain updated knowledge of market trends and industry best practices in corporate gifting.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure costeffectiveness and timely delivery of merchandise.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns on time.
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.
Establish quality standards for merchandise and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.
Address quality issues promptly and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
Solicit feedback from clients to evaluate merchandise quality and satisfaction levels.
Monitor expenses and identify costsaving opportunities without compromising quality or client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Supply Chain Management or a related field.
25 years of experience in merchandise management preferably in a corporate gifting or related industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and inventory management software.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Creative thinking and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
