Job Description

What is the Role?:
Do you want to work across a diverse portfolio of Restoration projects? We are looking for a Restoration Technician or Restoration Project Manager, to step into a role and lead the Restoration division for a Tier 2 organisation in Brisbane. This team is a leader in high-quality construction, specializing in residential, commercial, and strata restoration projects. You will be committed to preserving the historical and architectural integrity of every structure, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology to deliver outstanding results.

This is a full-time role based in Brisbane, QLD and you will oversee projects across Metropolitan Brisbane and as far south as Lismore, NSW. We need you to bring significant experience and confidence in executing restoration work. This role requires high levels of technical expertise, professionalism, and a strong focus on client relationships and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Division Leadership: Take the lead on our Restoration Division, driving the team and projects to success. Develop and implement strategic plans for growth and excellence in restoration services.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project .
  • Site Management: Oversee on-site operations, ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations and quality standards. Regularly inspect sites to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Client Relations and Business Development: Meet with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Actively participate in business development efforts to expand the division's portfolio.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints. Approve and monitor expenditures, working closely with the finance team to prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Quality Control: Implement strict quality control processes to maintain the highest standards in all restoration work. Address any discrepancies or defects immediately to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with local regulations and heritage preservation guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and professional development. Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • A trade background will be highly regarded.
  • You may have a Construction Management related qualification, such as a Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Restoration Technician or Project Manager in restoration, with experience across residential, commercial, or strata projects.
  • Strong background in building codes, regulations, and standards, particularly in heritage preservation.
  • Proven ability to lead projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of technical proficiency and professionalism.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
