Summary:
The Director of Engineering leads and oversees all aspects of our engineering operations with a strong focus on optimizing manufacturing processes enhancing automation and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be crucial in maintaining the highest quality standards cost efficiency and ensuring all engineering projects align with the companys strategic objectives.
In This Role You ll Have The Opportunity To:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conception through ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across all Engineering activities focusing on productivity enhancements and waste reduction.
- Oversee the design and optimization of injection molding and extrusion processes to meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in the areas of manufacturing processes equipment design and operational improvements.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Production Quality and Supply Chain teams to implement Engineering best practices.
- Develop and manage Engineering budgets ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with financial objectives.
- Ensure all Engineering activities comply with industry standards safety regulations and organizational policies.
- Utilize CAD and CAE software to model simulate and optimize designs ensuring costeffective solutions.
- Lead and mentor the Engineering team fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement strategies for process reliability and quality assurance minimizing downtime and product defects.
- Provide guidance and support for prototyping and feasibility studies of new product lines or equipment modifications.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements integrating cuttingedge technologies and practices into the Engineering function.
Requirements :
What You Need To Succeed:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in injection molding and extrusion processes is highly preferred.
- Strong background in managing automated processes and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex Engineering projects including budgeting resource allocation and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate Engineering Solutions utilizing Innovation and Technology while partnering with the functional areas of the Business Unit to deliver projects aligned with ROI (Return On Investment) expectations.
- Handson experience with CAD and CAE software for design and simulation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a focus on cost optimization and process efficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
