As a Faculty for Fashion Designer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of fashion designers. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in fashion design including design principles textile knowledge and garment construction.
- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to students on their design projects fostering their creative and technical growth.
- Stay updated with current fashion trends technologies and industry practices to ensure relevance of the curriculum.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops to enhance students handson skills in design and production processes.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to organize guest lectures industry visits and internship opportunities for students.
- Assess students progress through assignments exams and practical assessments and provide timely feedback to promote their development.
- Participate in academic research publications and presentations to contribute to the advancement of fashion design knowledge.
- Participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance teaching methodologies and subject matter expertise.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Fashion Design Textile Design or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion design with a strong portfolio of original designs and creations.
- Teaching experience in a higher education setting with a focus on fashion design and related courses.
- Proficient knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite CAD and other industrystandard tools.
- Demonstrated ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical and innovative designs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and mentor students.
- Indepth understanding of fashion history theory and global industry practices.
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and customize teaching approaches to facilitate student learning.
- Experience in organizing fashion shows exhibitions or industry events is desirable.
