Manage a metallurgical laboratory that was responsible for product quality along with quality systems for Super alloys forge and amp; land systems shops.
Provide all Quality related support to aerospace steels production and amp; Land systems development developing materials processes specifications and perform metallurgical evaluations and failure analyses.
Collaborate with engineering manufacturing and customers to help deliver high quality aerospace products.
Supervises the Quality Team on the inspection of materials processes for steel and superalloy products.
Prepare detailed test plans reports and documentation in compliance with Aerospace customer standards.
Perform metallurgical failure analysis of failed components identify the root cause and prepare clear concise engineering document using metallurgical findings.
Interact with customers and provide technical support to solve materials and metallurgical related issues.
Plan tasks and schedules efficiently and effectively.
Promote working relationships between inspection personnel and other departments.
Setup FMEA Process for all new grades to be developed.
Review data and information and make accept/reject decisions about Products Processes and Validations
Experience in the area of metallurgical testing evaluation and documentation.
Must have testing knowledge of metals like Creep Fatigue Fracture toughness LCF etc.
Strong knowledge of forged and rolled products quality testing requirements.
Strong proficiency in Quality control Laboratory activities and Assurance.
Knowledge of aerospace materials and testing standards. (ASTM AMS GOST BS) etc.
Knowledge and experience with root cause investigations corrective actions and problem solving.
Knowledge of NABL NADCAP and AS 9100 QMS systems.
Experience handling external inspection agencies like RCMA DGAQA DGQA RCMA NPCIL VSSC LPSC etc.
Experience in Type testing documentation for aerospace steels is desirable

B.Tech/M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering. A Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering is desirable.
Should have worked in a Special Alloy Steel industry for at least 1520 years.Knowledge of Superalloy metallurgy and testing is desirable.
