Job Description
Purpose/Mission of the role
The Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for drawing the different parts of our boiler
installations according to the latest standard and design checklists. He closely cooperates with
the Project Lay out Designer.
4. Job performance fields and responsibilities
Primary
Mechanical design:
Creating project specific detailed drawings using Inventor 3D
Following applicable norms & standards and design checklists.
Giving feedback on the design check lists.
Reports on the status and gives feedback on the progress of work.
Work organization:
Maintaining accurate hour registration per design activity.
Joining technical meetings and Project Planning meetings if a need be.
Joining other meetings when applicable.
Keeping track of own deliverables for all projects giving feedback about current
workload.
Occasionally assisting with followup of engineering subcontractors.
Health & Safety:
Respect of H&S legal requirements and others (ex. Standards) and H&S VYNCKE
requirements.
Responsible for assuring that an installation can be built and used in a healthy and safe
manner.

Education Degree focussed on 3D drawing of mechanical installations or equivalent through
experience
Experience Experience with mechanical 3D drawing software preferable familiar with boilers or
pressure parts.
Technical Good knowledge of 3D software especially inventor 3D and AutoCAD . Additional MS
office and Navisworks Revit
Languages English verbal and written
