Job Description
The SPP&ID Designer is responsible for designing drafting and preparing detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) that are essential for the construction installation and operation of industrial systems. They collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure the design meets industry standards safety regulations and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- P&ID Design: Develop and design Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for various industrial systems including mechanical electrical chemical and HVAC systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project engineers design teams and clients to gather design requirements and specifications.
- CAD Software: Use specialized CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit or SmartPlant) to create modify and update P&ID drawings.
- System Design and Layouts: Develop detailed designs of piping systems including material selections routing and installation methods.
- Specification Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to company and industry standards safety codes and regulatory requirements.
- Document Control: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of design files revisions and specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews and checks for design accuracy completeness and alignment with project goals.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide support during the construction and installation phases by troubleshooting designrelated issues and providing guidance.
- Design Improvement: Suggest improvements and costeffective solutions for systems while ensuring safety and functionality.
- Project Deadlines: Ensure timely delivery of design documents and support project milestones.
