Job Description

Overview

The role of Faculty for Hospitality is crucial in ensuring the delivery of highquality education and training in the field of hospitality within the organization. The individual will play a key role in shaping the learning experiences of students and preparing them for successful careers in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and delivering course materials that meet the educational needs of students pursuing hospitality programs.
  • Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to engage and inspire students in their learning.
  • Conducting assessments and providing constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
  • Collaborating with other faculty members to enhance the curriculum and ensure its alignment with industry standards.
  • Supervising and advising students on their academic and professional growth in the hospitality field.
  • Participating in academic research publication and other scholarly activities related to hospitality education.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Participating in faculty meetings committees and other academic initiatives to contribute to the overall growth of the institution.
  • Establishing and maintaining industry connections to facilitate student internships placements and industry partnerships.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to students to help them succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in Hospitality Management Tourism or a related field.
  • Significant experience working in the hospitality industry preferably in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of teaching or training in hospitality education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices trends and emerging technologies in the hospitality sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver innovative and industryrelevant curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and industry professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment and contribute to the academic community.
  • Professional certifications or credentials related to hospitality management or education are desirable.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of future hospitality professionals.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in hospitality management and education.
