Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Oversee the daytoday operational activities of the hospital ensuring that departments function smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure proper staffing resources and workflow to meet patient care needs.
- Monitor and optimize hospital operations including patient admissions scheduling discharge processes and supply chain management.
- Implement and maintain hospital policies procedures and protocols to ensure safety compliance and efficiency.
2. Staff Management:
- Lead mentor and supervise nonclinical staff ensuring high levels of performance and accountability.
- Work closely with human resources to recruit train and evaluate staff.
- Address personnel issues such as performance reviews conflict resolution and professional development.
3. Financial and Budgetary Oversight:
- Assist in budget planning and monitoring financial performance against budgets.
- Control costs by optimizing the use of hospital resources including equipment supplies and labor.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement efficiency improvements without compromising the quality of care.
4. Patient Experience and Satisfaction:
- Ensure high standards of patient care and service quality.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement strategies to improve the patient experience.
- Actively respond to and resolve patient complaints and operational issues.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure hospital operations comply with healthcare regulations safety standards and accreditation requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in hospital inspections audits and accreditation processes.
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations and ensure compliance with all legal and governmental guidelines.
6. Facilities and Equipment Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and security of hospital facilities equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a safe and efficient physical environment for patients and staff.
- Plan for the upgrading and replacement of hospital equipment as necessary.
7. Quality Improvement:
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in hospital processes including patient flow resource management and service delivery.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create action plans for underperforming areas.
- Work with clinical leadership to integrate operational improvements with clinical care improvements.
8. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between the hospital administration medical staff and other departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Work with external vendors suppliers and partners to ensure quality services and contracts are in place.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to enhance the hospital s visibility and community engagement.
9. Emergency Planning and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure operational continuity during crises.
- Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration business
- management or a related field (Master s preferred).
- Experience: 2 years of experience in healthcare operations management or a similar role.
