The Retail Sales Representatives will be responsible for overseeing all retail outlets and will be required to visit each retail outlet once a week. The successful incumbents goal is to acquire new business and manage our existing retailers while analysing sales trends and reporting.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Visit retail locations including chain stores and other outlets.
- Ensure stock is displayed and priced correctly wellstocked and maintain high merchandising standards.
- Display promotional materials as permitted.
- Check and record expiry dates.
- Document any damaged stock.
- Place orders for the retailer if not already done.
- Address retailer inquiries about products and their unique selling points.
- Assist retailers with purchasing decisions and stock selection based on sales history and customer behavior.
- Retrieve stock from sales floor or inventory locations as allowed.
- Handle special orders for discounts or promotional stock with management approval.
- Collect outstanding payments if needed particularly from smaller retailers.
- Prepare and send weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Actively work to grow sales and the B2B customer database.
- Help with scheduling and organizing store promotions.
- Assist with setup of store activations on Fridays or Saturdays.
- Communicate and report to marketing and management teams.
Requirements and Skills:
- Strong ability to cold call and pursue new business opportunities.
- Eager to learn and contribute to a growing business.
- Willingness to travel 80% of the time (based in Gauteng Limpopo and Mpumalanga).
- Strong administration and reporting skills.
