Responsibilities:
- Ensures integrity of financial records by maintaining internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
- Leads monthend close process.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly quarterly and annual financial statements providing insights into the companys performance and trends.
- Oversees timely and accurate processing of invoices payments and collections.
- Leads budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensures alignment of departments and strategic goals.
- Cash management with daily cash balance monitoring.
- Monitors company project costs and profitability.
- Oversees inventory processes including valuation reconciliation and physical inventory counts.
- Proactively initiates various projects to increase the efficiency and profitability of the business.
- Calculates and pays sales taxes for multiple states.
- Leads and supports external audits and reviews.
- Prepares ROI to support various business cases and capital investments.
- Manages institutional investment funds.
- Processes government request for data (US Census EEOC).
- Identifies opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Oversees payroll processing.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting required.
- CPA required.
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles operational accounting and financial reporting.
- High degree of comfort and familiarity with general ledger financial reporting and other accounting systems.
- 8 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Microsoft Dynamics Paylocity experience desired.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and/or relational databases.
- Working knowledge of federal state and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
- Experience with 401k and profitsharing processing desired.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
