Our client an Industrial Automation company in the Pinetown Area a leader in its field is seeking a talented Technical Sales Representative to join their dynamic team.
Objectives of the role
- To grow the current turnover of VSD and PLC sales
- To identify new opportunities and customers in the VSD and PLC market
- To maintain and grow current relationships formed with VSD and PLC customers
- To provide a contact point for customers requiring technical assistance on our VSD & PLC products
- To ensure customer understanding of the benefits of our brand of VSD s and PLCs over other brands in the market.
Responsibilties
- Make sales calls with sales representatives or to direct accounts independently in order to meet sales goals
- Manage and develop business for variable frequency drives and PLCs in region through various prospecting and marketing activities
- Prompt following up on sent quotes and provide customer feedback to management when necessary
- Growing a pipeline in line with required target
- Must be able to strictly adhere to safety instructions and follow directions
- Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented
- Travel locally
- Provide sales reports monthly of progress and targets
Requirements
- Experience in variable frequency drives PLCs and industrial automation is an added advantage
- Knowledge of CRM system and process
- Knowledge of MS Windows/MS Word MS PowerPoint & MS Excel
- Superior oral/written communication skills
- Knowledge of Modbus Communication Protocols
- Basic knowledge of electrical requirements for VSDs
- Any sales qualifications or courses advantageous
