Job Description
- Oversee and manage the entire project lifecycle from planning to completion ensuring that the project is delivered within the specified time frame and budget without compromising on quality.
- Develop review and control the detailed project schedule budget and resource allocation at regular intervals to ensure optimal performance. Where feasible implement value engineering to improve project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with the company s integrated management system policies and procedures and ensure that all project team members adhere to the same standards.
- Take a handson approach to coordinate all site support services and activities ensuring the proper and timely selection and delivery of materials according to the work plan.
- Organize and attend meetings with clients consultants and other key stakeholders.
- Regularly assess project progress and subcontractor performance taking preventive and corrective actions as necessary to keep the project on schedule.
- Make all commercial and contractual decisions including those related to variation orders and extensions of time.
- Ensure that progress claims are submitted and collected promptly and that final project accounts are closed out in a timely manner.
- Accurately assess and evaluate claims from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project status.
- Coordinate with government agencies and statutory bodies on all relevant matters ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
- Provide guidance motivation and development to subordinates.
- Undertake any additional duties as instructed.
Requirements
- Possess Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Microsoft Office.
- Microsoft Project.
- Minimum 8 years working experience on project site.
- Minimum 4 years in managerial capacity.
- Experience in sewage reticulation pipe work is added advantage.
- Communication (verbal/written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Access analyze and evaluate data.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Priorities options.
- Good personality communication & interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure & fast track.
- Adaptable to dynamic change and ISO practice environment.
- Willing to work at night and overtime when required to suit the need of the work.
- Possess good personality team player proactive and resourceful
- Highly selfdiscipline and selfmotivated.
- Accept outstation posting and work at night.
Possess Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Other educational will be consider, subject to related working experience. Microsoft Office. Microsoft Project. Primavera PG. Minimum 8 years working experience on project site and holding management position. Working with a design consultant firm holding a similar capacity is added advantage. Experience in sewage reticulation pipe work is added advantage. Communication (verbal/written) in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Access, analyze and evaluate data. Problem solving abilities.
