Job Description
CNC Band Saw Operator 2nd shift
Ideal candidate will properly setup and operate manual and automatic feed band saw to cut raw metal stock to required lengths. Schedule: Opening on 2nd Shift 2:00pm 2:00am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setsup sawing operation on saw.
- Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment crane and or forklift.
- Read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Determine efficient feed and blade speed requirements for various types of materials.
- Saw the material to size and perform in process checks to assure that the process is in control.
- Assures that the first piece is correct prior to presentation to Quality assurance for approval.
- Work off a dispatch report to ensure that jobs are run in proper sequence.
- Produce good quality product that fully meets specifications.
- Manage workflow.
- Follow company policies
- Work safely with rest of manufacturing shop members to complete overall tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read technical drawings / instructions.
- Minimum 1 year of experience Production Band Saw Operator and metalworking experience.
- Must have basic knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Blueprint reading is a must.
- Basic Shop Math skills
- Basic Computers skills for time clock and inventory control.
- Must be able to pass physicalfit and respirator test.
- Myst be able to work wearing full face respirator.
- Must be comfortable working with hazardous materials.
- Good work ethic and able to work well with others & punctual.
- High School/ GED
- Trade or Technical School Diploma is a plus.
