Job Description
Position Title: Hull Operator
Location: Pine Bluff AR
Department: Operations
Reports To: Production Supervisor

About the role: The Hull Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment that produces hull components for transformers. This position ensures that machinery is maintained quality standards are met and production goals are achieved. The Hull Operator plays a key role in troubleshooting maintaining a clean work environment and collaborating with team members to ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate machinery used for forming hull components ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety standards.

Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimal performance addressing mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Perform quality inspections of raw materials and finished products documenting results and ensuring consistency with specifications.

Assist with equipment setup and changeovers ensuring minimal disruptions to production flow.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment following safety protocols and participating in safety training and drills.

Collaborate with maintenance personnel to report and address major equipment malfunctions.

Track production data accurately including outputs quality control results and equipment performance.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives identifying and recommending process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment ideally with mechanical or machine operation experience.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly stand for extended periods and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to ensure smooth production and problemsolving.
- Background check drug screening and physical exam required.
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that involves standing lifting and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Some overtime and occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

- Lifting:Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment:Work in a facility with loud noise extreme temperatures and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities:Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as needed.
- PPE:Wear the required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision:Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close distance color peripheral depth perception and focus adjustment).
- Stamina:Stand for long shifts.
- Skills:Effective communication basic math skills and teamwork.
- Safety:Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
