SAP Variant Configurator

Key responsibilities

• Extensive experience with SAP ECC variant configurator in a manufacturing company
• Thorough understanding of a wide range of business processes with a focus on ECC Variant configurator processes
• Solid handson experience with architecting configuration and testing of SAPbased enterprise software applications
• Understanding of all aspects of a variant configuration product model including classes characteristics configuration profiles ALE tables variant pricing functions dependency nets with constraints BOM class nodes preconditions selection conditions procedures complex super bills of material and routings and work centers
• Experience with Engineered to Order (ETO) processes MTO / MTS setup Order BOM and Engineering Change Management (ECM) is very helpful
• Functional understanding of SAP Variant Configuration software best practices and relevant crossfunctional knowledge of SD MM PP FI/CO SAP modules and the integration points with VC
• Prepare detailed functional specifications configuration documents and user manuals to ensure the effective use and maintenance of the SAP VC system.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate that the configured solutions meet the specified requirements.
• Provide training to endusers and ongoing support to ensure the efficient use of SAP VC solutions.
• Participate in project planning and status reporting and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• This individual will take SAP Variant configurator Syntax and formulas and help translate to help explain what they are doing and how they are calculating values in some cases in SAP.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Proven 6 years experience in configuring and maintaining SAP Variant Configurator solutions.
• Indepth knowledge of product modeling and variant configuration within SAP ERP.
• Strong understanding of SAP VC/LOVC IPC (Internet Pricing and Configurator) and integration with SAP ECC.
• Proficiency in data management and maintenance within SAP systems.
• Experience in documenting configuration processes business rules and functional specifications.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Proficient in ABAP programming for customizing Variant Configurator solutions is highly desirable.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills related to complex product configurations and business requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with crossfunctional teams.
• Experience in providing enduser training and support for SAP Variant Configurator functionalities.
• Knowledge of SAP best practices and industry trends in variant configuration.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
• Certification in SAP Variant Configuration is a plus.
• Understanding of governance compliance and security standards within SAP environments.
