Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a detailoriented and strategic Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial operations leading cash flow management and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daytoday operations of the accounting department ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner
- Monitor compile and analyze detailed cash flow reports including historical data and future projections to maintain optimal liquidity and advise on cash management strategies
- Oversee the preparation and filing of income taxes for multiple entities ensuring adherence to federal state and local tax regulations and provide strategic advice on tax implications of business decisions
- Review and analyze financial data to produce accurate reports essential for strategic planning and decisionmaking
- Ensure adherence to proper accounting methods policies and principles maintaining compliance with legal standards and company policies
- Monitor systems and procedures implementing corrective actions as necessary to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting department
- Assign projects direct staff and provide guidance to the accounting team to ensure compliance accuracy and continuous improvement
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions oversee banking activities and ensure compliance with banking requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
- 57 years of experience in accounting management ideally within the real estate industry
- Proven ability to manage and complete projects within established deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in deliverables
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading accounting operations in a dynamic real estate environment with a demonstrated impact on business growth and financial health
- Proven track record of innovation in financial processes and systems focusing on efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and cash flow management
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders
- Leadership experience in mentoring and developing accounting professionals fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence
