As we rapidly expand we are seeking a passionate Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial concept through to production.
Job Summary:
As an Application Engineer at EMO Energy you will be responsible for interfacing with clients understanding their technical requirements and ensuring the seamless integration of EMOs battery technologies into various applications. This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge hardware skills and experience in testing and validating battery systems. You will work closely with our engineering teams to provide technical support optimize product performance and drive successful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide handson support for the integration and testing of EMO s ZEN PAC and other battery solutions in client applications.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their needs troubleshoot issues and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of battery packs including performance safety and reliability assessments under various environmental conditions.
- Product Customization: Work with the product development team to customize solutions based on client feedback and specific application requirements.
- Documentation & Training: Prepare detailed technical documentation and provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of battery systems.
- Field Support: Assist in onsite installation configuration and troubleshooting of battery systems in mobility and energy storage applications.
Required Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of battery technologies battery management systems (BMS) and thermal management techniques.
- Hardware Skills: Handson experience with the assembly testing and troubleshooting of battery hardware including safety systems like thermal runaway protection and short circuit mitigation.
- Testing & Analysis: Proficiency in using testing equipment and software for battery performance analysis lifecycle testing and failure prediction.
- Client Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into clientfriendly language.
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to rapidly changing client and project needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the EV or energy storage industry.
- Familiarity with AIbased monitoring systems and semiautomated assembly processes is a plus.
