Job Description
Head of Finance is responsible for managing a companys financial affairs and providing strategic guidance to support business objectives. Their responsibilities include:
Financial reporting: Managing monthly financial reporting budgeting forecasting and statutory financial reporting
Taxation: Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organization
Financial controls: Ensuring that financial controls are sustained
Financial statements: Producing timely financial statements and performance reports
Annual budgets: Assisting departments with their annual budgets reviews and internal controls
Investment assessment: Assessing investments
Risk management: Managing risk for the business and financing
Pricing and packaging strategy: Thinking about pricing and packaging strategy
A Head of Finance is usually part of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Chief Operations Officer (COO).
back office is the portion of a company made up of administration and support personnel who are not client-facing. Back-office functions include settlements, clearances, record maintenance, regulatory compliance, accounting, and IT services.
