Job Description
- Represent the company in court handling criminal civil and commercial cases ensuring the company s interests are protected.
- Draft review and redraft contracts to ensure compliance with local laws and protect the company s legal and financial interests.
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant Qatari laws and regulations particularly labor laws and provide guidance on legal matters to prevent noncompliance.
- Provide legal advice to management on various issues including risk management litigation strategies and contractual obligations.
- Interact with local ministries and government bodies to manage legal filings obtain necessary approvals and resolve regulatory issues.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings briefs and agreements with a focus on accuracy and compliance with local laws.
- Lead negotiations in dispute resolution processes aiming to settle matters amicably and avoid litigation where possible.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and provide informed legal opinions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Law from a reputable university
- Must be currently residing in Qatar with a valid iqama.
- 5 to 7 years of legal experience including at least 2 years in Qatar.
- Native Arabic speaker with an excellent command of English.
- Indepth knowledge of Qatari labor law.
- Ability to represent the company in court.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Expertise in litigation (criminal and civil cases).
- Familiarity with procedures in various ministries.
- Strong background in contract review drafting and redrafting.
- Experience in commercial law is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills.
