QAQC Manager

Job Purpose:

The position holder is responsible for implementing systems to test materials and products ensuring that they conform to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing Quality KPIs for the Company; implements quality procedures ensures that inspection and reporting is adhered to as required in all production processes;
  
• Monitors all operations that affect quality ensuring reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output;
  
• Appraise customer requirements ensuring that quality standards are met and exceeded;
  
• Supervises and guides inspectors technicians and other staff;
  
• Report all malfunctions to production managers and causes corrective action to be taken;
  
• Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  
• Keep records of quality reports statistical reviews and relevant documentation
  
• Reviews current standards and policies ensuring all legal standards are met;
  
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during onsite inspections
  
• Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection till final acceptance of the piping systems.
  
• Interprets welding procedure specifications and gives instructions to supervisors and QC inspectors.
  
• Responsible for ensuring that welding inspections are done and relevant documentation is completed.
  
• Interprets quality control plans/Inspection test plans and gives instructions to production team and QC inspectors at various inspection stages.
  
• Responsible for ensuring that relevant inspections of piping is done and supervises Nondestructive testing i.e.
  

1. Magnetic particle inspections.
   
2. Dye penetrant tests.
   
3. Ultrasonic flaw detection.
   
4. Visual inspections etc.
