Functional Tester

Job Responsibilities:

• Design develop and execute comprehensive test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  
• Use API testing tools such as Postman SoapUI or similar to perform functional and integration tests.
  
• Verify API responses ensure proper data handling and validate error codes and messages.
  
• Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on functional specifications and requirements.
  
• Perform thorough functional regression and integration testing.
  
• Document and track defects and work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues.
  
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium JUnit or similar.
  
• Support the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  
• Help enhance the automation framework and expand test coverage as needed.
  
• Work closely with product managers developers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective testing solutions.
  
• Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress defect status and overall quality metrics.
  
• Participate in review meetings to discuss test results and contribute to process improvements.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in functional testing with a strong focus on API testing and automation.
  
• Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g. Postman SoapUI).
  
• Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.
  
• knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (e.g. Selenium JUnit) is preferred.
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
