Underwriting Assistant

In this role you will play a key part in supporting underwriting operations and enhancing broker relationships by providing personalized and efficient support. Your focus will be on delivering a trusted broker experience managing risk decisions and maintaining a confident professional approach in all interactions with broker partners.

Responsibilities:
Deliver superior quality commitments and foster a "One Stop Shop" environment for broker partners.
Provide timely and informed service to broker partners constantly challenging the status quo to deliver premier underwriting services.
Influence the outcomes of the Broker Survey by taking dedicated steps throughout the year to ensure positive results.
Exhibit a high degree of integrity when representing brokers and the brand ensuring consistency in communication and service.
Focus on servicing the existing book of business maintaining service level agreements and supporting overall business goals.
Perform data entry for new business including creating Salesforce accounts portal submissions and maintaining accurate documentation.
Maintain new business trackers ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of new business binds.
Order and process necessary reports such as MVR Auto and Hits reports.
Complete risk followups with broker partners adhering to established systems and frameworks.
Collaborate closely with leadership on work distribution triage and service level agreement data builds.
What you will need to succeed:
3 years of experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an office environment.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to make strategic decisions and champion the brand.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written coupled with confident decisionmaking and analytical abilities.
Organized with strong time management skills capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
