Our client is a leading international business law and litigation firm recognized as a best employer in 2023 and they are seeking a Legal istant with Commercial Lending and Real Estate experience to work in their surrey office which is located close to Station Tower station.
Role Overview
The Legal istant will support the Wills Estates and Corporate Law practice groups by providing essential clerical and administrative istance. This role requires strong organizational ss the ability to manage multiple priorities and a commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle administrative duties such as email and calendar management coordinating meetings preparing engagement letters and routine correspondence.
- Maintain and manage a bringforward system with timely reminders.
- Ensure physical and electronic filing systems are organized and up to date.
- Liaise with Billing Coordinators to ensure the timely production of monthly accounts.
- Provide backup coverage in the absence of other istants or team members.
- Conduct conflict searches open files complete client identification/verification and prepare retainer letters.
- Perform basic online searches (e.g. Wills registry municipal tax corporate registry land title office).
- ist with organizing and maintaining estate trust and corporate doents and records.
- Communicate with clients and potential clients to collect information schedule meetings and respond to inquiries.
- Other duties as igned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a postsecondary Legal istant or Paralegal course.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably within Wills Estates or Corporate Law.
- Familiarity with BC Online BC Registries MyLTSA and ALF is an et.
- Strong technical ss in Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with 3E iManageWork and DocuSign.
- Large firm experience is preferred.

- Ability to manage the practices of multiple lawyers.
- Strong understanding of business and legal terminology.
- Client service mindset with a “can do” attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure manage multiple priorities and multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $50000 $70000 annually. Base pay will be determined based on location jobrelated knowledge ss experience and market conditions.
