SUMMARY
The IT Specialist Tier I position handles troubleshooting and repairing operating system failures at the desktop level basic network administration user application support help desk printer setups device repair and maintenance. This role responds to service calls remotely or at the customer site troubleshooting and repairing problems independently completing necessary paperwork and participating in available or mandatory training to advance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help Desk: Answer incoming calls and respond to submitted service requests.
- Travel onsite to client offices for workstation deployments and technical repairs.
- Troubleshoot and fix operating system failures at the desktop level.
- Perform basic network administration.
- Provide application support.
- Set up and configure printers and network hardware.
- Follow technical documentation standards.
- Effectively use ConnectWise.
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience to our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be a quick learner of cloudbased database software and all applications and products used by the company.
- Evidence of proficiency in relevant technology with up to 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Hold one of these two current certifications: CompTIA A or Network.
- Hold one of these certifications: Apple ACMT Microsoft MTA or equivalent certification or have proven practical knowledge at the level of one of these certifications.
- One or more years of paid experience in an IT service support role or a similar role. Unpaid experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of basic networking technologies (TCP/IP AD DNS DHCP DFS etc.).
- Proficiency with Windowsbased operating systems.
- Hardware and software skills to troubleshoot desktops laptops routers firewalls printers and other technical equipment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and achieve new IT certifications recommended by the company on an ongoing basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Should be willing to accept a longterm workfromhome arrangement.
- Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
