The Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) seeks a highly motivated, hardworking Manager with a Business Administration degree from an accredited university for its QIA Center for Investment and Financial Studies (The Center). The candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of business with demonstrated academic excellence in their studies. The position involves supporting the operations of The Center in running the Executive Education workshops – these workshops will span all areas of business education. The candidate is expected to provide in-session teaching support to the faculty in the form of preparation for the workshops as well as providing recitation independent of the instructors. Other than the workshops, the Manager will be responsible for working with faculty in researching for and writing business cases to be used for classroom teaching. Duties: ● Providing logistical support to organize the executive education workshops. ● Engage with the various departments at CMUQ in ensuring smooth running of The Center. ● Work with faculty in designing and creating content for the workshops. ● Provide teaching support during the workshops both with and independent of the faculty. ● Work with faculty in conducting research and writing case studies that may be used for classroom teaching. ● Provide support to The Center in conducting outreach activities and speaker sessions. ● Work with The Center leadership to provide general support for running of The Center. Required: 1. Ideally, an overall graduate business degree from an accredited business program is required. 2. The applicant should be comfortable, competent, and efficient in managing and assisting with lectures as well as running teaching sessions independently. 3. Proficiency with Excel is required. 4. Preference will be given to candidates who either have experience in a teaching role or have worked in the business sector.
