Job Description

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Position Overview

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and operations of a service business. This role will require a visionary leader with a deep understanding of technology and its potential to drive business growth and innovation. The CTO will oversee all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure including software development IT operations and cybersecurity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential applications within the business.
    • Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Technology Infrastructure:
    • Oversee the design development and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure including hardware software and networks.
    • Ensure the reliability security and performance of the technology systems.
    • Manage IT budgets and resources effectively.
  • Software Development:
    • Lead the software development team and oversee the creation of new products and services.
    • Ensure the quality scalability and maintainability of software applications.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the development team.
  • IT Operations:
    • Manage daytoday IT operations including system administration network management and help desk support.
    • Ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems and services.
    • Implement effective IT governance and compliance practices.
  • Cybersecurity:
    • Develop and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and systems from threats.
    • Stay uptodate on emerging cybersecurity trends and best practices.
  • Talent Management:
    • Recruit develop and retain a highperforming team of technology professionals.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles preferably in the service industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall).
  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Proven track record of driving digital transformation and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Passion for technology and its potential to solve business problems.
