Job Description

This is a remote position.

Contract: 5 months with possibility of extension
Schedule: MondayFriday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM AEST time
Department: Finance
Reporting: CFO

The role:


The role:

This role requires an experienced Accounts and Payroll person to be able to process a variety of transactions for the client entities as follows:

  • Payroll: Processing timesheets and leave forms to cover
  • Payroll: Processing Weekly Payroll payments
  • Payroll: Process labour costing weekly
  • Payroll: Setting up new employees as required following up onboarding information.
  • Payroll: Attend to employee queries as required.
  • Accounts: Process accounts receivable payments daily.
  • Accounts: Update Debtors and Cashflow forecast weekly.
  • Daily logging of Supplier invoices and matching to purchase orders (cover leave)
  • Daily logging of Subcontract Claims and following up project staff on contract items for allocation (cover leave)
  • Other administrative office tasks.


Requirements


  • Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance completed.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Australian /NSW Payroll processing legislation and taxation is preference
  • Experience in using construction software and payroll software.
  • Experience in invoicing in the construction industry regarding construction claims and processing.
  • Proficient in word excel and accounting software packages.
  • Must be energetic have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Be planned and organized and with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Can manage high volume transactions and processing tasks

Key Requirements: Possesses 2-5 years of experience as Virtual Bookkeeper, preferably with Australian clients. Preferred bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant certifications Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms is essential. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping Effective time management in fast-paced environments Demonstrated integrity and discretion with confidential information.
