Product Data Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly meticulous and detailoriented Product Data Specialist to join our team. This role requires a dedicated individual who can manage and input product data with absolute accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing product datasheets and web pages extracting and formatting the product data in conjunction with ChatGPT and loading that data into a special Google Sheets console.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Extraction and Entry: Review product datasheets (PDFs) and supplier web pages to extract and format product data accurately.
• Data Accuracy: Ensure zero errors in data entry as incorrect information can result in significant financial losses.
• Image Handling: Utilize very basic image editing skills to handle product images ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Collaboration with ChatGPT: Use ChatGPT to assist in the extraction and formatting of product data ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Console Operation: Use a specialized console to input product data verify accuracy and export data as CSV files for website integration.
• Communication: Report discrepancies and missing data to the relevant team members for resolution.

Technical Requirements:

• Must have a personal computer with a large screen for efficient data management.
• Proficiency with basic image editing tools.
• Ability to install and use necessary Chrome extensions for data processing.
  
  

Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet daily targets of processing at least 8 products per day.
• Strong communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the team.
• Proficient in using Google Chrome and related extensions for data extraction.
• Ensuring correct data entry for each product.
• Capability to handle image requirements including sourcing resizing and uploading images to specified standards.
• Fluent in written English (this is important as the candidate will need to clearly understand written paragraphs describing products).
• Reasonably fluent in spoken English (as the candidate will need to communicate with the team).
• Require someone who can commit long term (at least 2 years) to work with our business.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data entry or product data management.
• Familiarity with product data requirements.
• Prior experience using ChatGPT.

Work Environment:

• Remote Work: This is a workfromhome position. The candidate must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.
• Flexible Hours: While this is a fulltime role (approx. 32 hours per week) the candidate can choose their working hours as long as the weekly workload is completed.
• Manual: the candidate will be provided with a ChatGPT license the console and a full manual and will be trained.
