Retail Manager Job Limerick

A client of mine who have emerged as a fast growing convenience retail group in the last 5 years is now hiring for a Store Manager as they look to expand their business again. With a seventh shop opening in the coming months we are looking for an experienced shop manager someone at Assistant Manager/senior Duty Manager level or a Store Manager who feels up for a new challenge that would like to make an impact on a store due for a revamp.
A busy local convenience store in the heart of a growing town of Co Limerick just near the border of Co Cork you will be responsible for managing a team of 15 staff maintaining the standards of the store working with the store owners roughly once/twice a week to achieve commercial goals such as increasing sales profit margin. Plenty of autonomy to run the shop learn develop and be part of a young progressive retail group.

Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:

• Ensuring the store reaches maximum profitability
• Ensuring your team demonstrates excellent merchandising skills the cleanliness of the store is up to industry standards and reflects well on the groups standards
• Ensure the site runs efficiently and smoothly.
• Excellent attention to detail regarding financial reports analysing same and reporting any discrepancies to the relevant department/MD and investigating discrepancies
• Take full care of Health & Safety and food safety make regular assessments and follow up on action plans

Requirements for this Retail Store Manager Job:

• Proven experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar retail management role capable of making decisions directing staff to complete work
• Good organization skills the ability to lead and motivate a team under them plan and complete several tasks at once
• Some commercial capabilities understanding sales vs costs profit margin and cash office management would be a distinct advantage.
• Working knowledge of Labour Law Health & Safety regulations HACCP and Consumer Law.
