Overview
The FMCG Sales Officer plays a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring the success of the fastmoving consumer goods (FMCG) products in the market. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and wholesalers identifying new business opportunities and maximizing sales volumes within their assigned territory.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers such as retail stores supermarkets and wholesalers.
- Identify and approach new potential customers to expand the customer base and increase product distribution.
- Meeting sales targets and KPIs by effectively pitching product offerings to customers and closing sales deals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify consumer trends competitor activities and emerging opportunities to maximize sales potential and market share.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with customers to ensure profitable sales transactions.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities and marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and product awareness.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance market trends and customer preferences to optimize sales strategies and product placements.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and efficient manner to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports forecasts and budget plans to the management team.
- Keep updated with industry developments market conditions and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field.
- Proven experience in sales preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with customers suppliers and internal teams.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to conduct market research and analysis.
- Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced and competitive sales environment.
- Understanding of market dynamics consumer behavior and retail trends in the FMCG sector.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
