Job Description

Overview:

The Plant Production Head plays a critical role in overseeing the production processes and ensuring the efficient operation of the plant. They are responsible for leading the production team optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing production plans in alignment with company goals
  • Managing and supervising production staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Overseeing daily production activities and ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency
  • Monitoring production metrics and KPIs to drive performance improvements
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to resolve production issues
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Managing production budgets and expenses
  • Implementing best practices for lean manufacturing and cost reduction
  • Leading and developing the production team through training and mentorship
  • Assessing equipment and technology needs to optimize production capabilities
  • Participating in strategic planning to support longterm production objectives
  • Reviewing and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement
  • Resolving any productionrelated issues or conflicts
  • Reporting on production activities and performance to senior management

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management or a related field
  • Proven experience in a production management role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent understanding of production processes and equipment
  • Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements
  • Indepth knowledge of quality control standards and practices
  • Experience with budgeting and cost management
  • Strategic planning and project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
  • Proficiency in production software and technology
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic production environment
  • Certifications in production management or related areas (e.g. Six Sigma) are a plus
