Organizational Context:
The organization is a prominent nonbanking finance company (NBFC) registered with regulatory authorities. It has a significant presence across India and offers a wide range of secured and unsecured lending solutions to various customer segments including retail highnetworth individuals (HNI) micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and large corporates. The organization is recognized for its business excellence and financial stability.
Job Context:
Business Finance & Loan Structuring: An indepth understanding of business finance loan structuring methods and credit administration is crucial for maintaining a healthy portfolio establishing credibility and earning a strong reputation in the local market.
Market Characteristics: Knowledge of regional market characteristics including local occupations financial preferences and practices is important for gaining a competitive edge and leading client engagement effectively.
Collateral Monitoring & Risk Management: Continuous monitoring of collaterals and postsanction surveillance is essential for mitigating potential nonperforming assets (NPAs) and reducing risks related to fraud. Building and maintaining deep client relationships is critical to success in this role.
Fee Income & Profitability: Fee income and loan utilization are key business metrics that impact overall profitability. These metrics are influenced by effective client engagement understanding client needs and relationship building.
Key Challenges:
Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage risks associated with accounts or sectors under pressure.
Mitigation Actions: Recommend and implement actions such as restructuring or eliminating loans adjusting interest rates or fees and protecting organizational interests.
2) Key Result Areas
Maintaining Average Book: Oversee the parameters of the book ensure openings and closings meet targets and monitor loan repayments. Address overdue accounts and assess ongoing repayment ability.
Portfolio Quality: Manage loan increases and renewals in collaboration with relationship managers customers and credit teams. Review loans for reevaluation and renewal to ensure continued profitability. Ensure that loan accounts operate as authorized enforce security documentation for defaults and collaborate with credit collections and legal teams for defaulting accounts.
CrossSell: Expand wallet share and return on equity by selling additional products to existing customers. Utilize customer engagement to understand their needs and offer complementary products.
Relationship Management: Resolve client issues satisfactorily provide advice on business trends capital markets and credit conditions. Participate in community and business functions to enhance the organization’s image and brand.
3) Relationships
Internal:
Zonal Sales Manager SME: Engage weekly for strategic planning account updates and client requests.
Portfolio Manager SME: Interact daily for portfolio monitoring.
Risk Department: Communicate as needed for portfolio monitoring.
Operations Department: Meet weekly to address client servicing issues and review turnaround times (TAT).
External:
Customers: Engage weekly to manage customer relationships and understand their requirements.
