Our client is a conglomerate company in Nigeria and other parts of Africa established over 40 years ago with ties in Asia and the Middle East. They are into FMCG products which includes; Tyres Food and Beverages plastic and Paper. They are in need of a PROCUREMENT OFFICER for their plastic manufacturing arm.
LOCATION: Lagos.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase goods materials components or services in line with specified cost quality and delivery targets
- Sourcing and vendor management
- Track Record Orders & Market survey
- Prepare reports and updates as at when required.
- Review quality of purchased products.
- Perform inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
- Estimate and establish budgets for purchases.
- Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in business management or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to visit market.
- Proficiency of detail and organizational skills.
